Founder's Welcome
Yvette Alexandre and LaShay Waiters Memorial Foundation (YALWMF) was founded by Suzette and Yves Robert Alexandre, Sr. the parents of Yvette R. Alexandre who along with her fiancé LaShay D. Waiters tragically perished when a mentally unstable Wrong-Way Driver crashed into the car they were driving in on Thanksgiving Night, November 23, 2017. The Foundation was founded as a way to turn our unimaginable loss into an opportunity to fulfill the dreams of Yvette and LaShay by fostering achievement in the lives of young people.

Mission
Yvette Alexandre and LaShay Waiters Memorial Foundation’s (YALWMF) mission is to help young adults and children achieve their dreams and goals.
We firmly believe that “Children too are a gift from Adonai; the fruit of the womb is a reward.” according to Psalm 127:3 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) to the extent that we have a strong desire to reaffirm our commitment to the enrichment of the lives of young people by offering programs that take aim at personal and professional development.
